"We hired Lees Munday to help us with our project. When we started we thought that we knew exactly what we wanted and that it was only a matter of getting professional drawings made up and interfacing with the council. For that level we thought that fees were a bit much - but given that it was a large project we decided to proceed anyhow.
This turned out to be the best money we ever spent, David took us through a number of iterative drawings talked to us about how we would use the space and came up with solutions and designs that were so much more innovative than we had considered.
During the approvals process David led the interactions with the Council and helped us secure permission - meeting repeatedly with the officers prior to submitting plans to establish the likelihood of acceptance. He really sweated the detail on our behalf and acted as our advisor on selecting builders - his bid pack was very detailed and well presented, allowing us to accurately compare prices and negotiate (and understand the reasons) for differences between quotes.
During the build process David and the builders were able to communicate using text messages and pictures. The builders really liked the fact that when they got "stuck" they could clarify with him there and then. This kept the job moving along. David & Yvonne came to site regularly to make sure that everything was going to plan and help co-ordinate with all the certificates and approvals and inspections.
I particularly liked the way that we could bounce ideas around and that they "challenged" our thinking in a productive way rather than doing just what we told them to, or doing just what they wanted - the collaboration & rapport was excellent.
In short, what seemed like a lot of money when I started the project turned out to be the best money I spent on the project and really made the house a home! I have recommended Lees Munday to friends already, and would not hesitate to do so again. Top notch!."
